Dr. Scheinbart earned his B.S. in Biology at the University of Michigan, his M.D. from The Ohio State University, and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Hematology/Oncology fellowship at the University of Florida Shands Hospital. Dr. Scheinbart practiced Hematology/Oncology with Melbourne Internal Medicine Associates (MIMA) and Health First (HF) along Florida’s Space Coast for over 20 years. During that span, he served on MIMA’s Board of Directors and the Hospice of HF Board of Directors. Dr. Scheinbart was a founder of the William Childs Hospice House as well as the Medical Director for the Health First Cancer Institute. In 2018 he was awarded the Certified Physician Executive (CPE) credential and went on to serve as Vice President for Medical Affairs and the Chief Medical Officer at HF Hospitals, a division within the HF Integrated Delivery Network.
Dr. Scheinbart is devoted to physician leadership development and his writings include a chapter in the recently published The Chief Medical Officer’s Essential Guidebook as well as work appearing in the Healthcare Administration Leadership & Management Journal. Additionally, Dr. Scheinbart is actively involved in the American Association of Physician Leadership where he serves as a volunteer, mentor, curriculum advisor, and panel speaker.
