(Las Cruces, NM) – Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine (Burrell College) is pleased to announce the awarding of $774,116 in scholarships for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This funding is made possible through the generous support of various sources and benefactors, as led and organized by the Coalition for Osteopathic Excellence (COE), a 501 c-3 supporting foundation. Of the $774,116 in scholarships awarded, $394,000 comes from the generosity of the PY Foundation for the College’s Yates Scholarship Program .
The COE foundation supports a collaborative effort involving various organizations, alumni, and donors dedicated to advancing the osteopathic medical profession. Through their collective efforts, they have provided substantial financial assistance to support the education and training of future osteopathic physicians.
“We are incredibly grateful to the COE and all the contributors for their unwavering support,” said John Hummer, president and co-founder of Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. “These scholarships will significantly impact our students, allowing them to pursue their education with reduced financial pressures and greater focus on their studies and professional development.”
