LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The Doña Ana County Medical Society, the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine Student Family Medicine Interest Group, and Patients Primero will host a series of nonpartisan public forums featuring candidates for Governor of New Mexico at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, 3501 Arrowhead Drive, Las Cruces, New Mexico.

“These forums reflect Burrell College’s commitment to New Mexico’s health and to nonpartisan civic engagement on issues that matter to our communities,” said John Hummer, President of Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. “As we prepare future physicians to serve this state, we’re proud to support thoughtful conversations about healthcare access, quality, and outcomes.”
The forums are designed to give community members an opportunity to hear directly from each candidate about their positions, priorities, and plans for improving healthcare in New Mexico.

Each candidate will appear individually on the date and time listed below. The events are open to the public.
“For patients and families across our state, healthcare is not an abstract policy issue. It is personal. It affects whether people can see a doctor close to home, afford needed treatment, and receive timely, high-quality care,” said Joanne Turnbull, Ph.D., co-founder of Patients Primero.
Kathe Stark, also co-founder of Patients Primero continued: “These forums give voters the opportunity to hear directly from each gubernatorial candidate about how they would continue that work and improve our healthcare system.”
