Burrell College Students Inducted into Gold Humanism Honor Society

Burrell College of Health Sciences is proud to recognize a group of student physicians who have been inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS), a national organization that honors individuals who demonstrate exceptional compassion, integrity, and commitment to patient-centered care.

The Gold Humanism Honor Society, established by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, recognizes medical students, residents, and physicians who exemplify the humanistic values essential to quality healthcare. Inductees are selected by their peers and faculty, making the recognition especially meaningful.

“The Gold Humanism Honor Society identifies physicians and student physicians who pass the hardest test in medicine; not boards, not shelf exams, but whether the people who watched you work would trust you with someone they love,” said student physician Andrew Peace. “Members are peer and faculty selected, recognized specifically for compassion, integrity, and the kind of presence patients remember long after the visit ends. For a Burrell student, induction means your classmates and faculty, the people who saw you in the difficult rooms, on the hard days, when no one was grading it, decided you were the kind of physician medicine needs more of.”
