Las Cruces, NM – The PY Foundation’s Yates Scholarship awarded scholarships to three students from Burrell College. Third-year students Ashley Rocks, Milo Taylor, and Alexis Thompson were recognized for their achievements at the Yates Scholars Luncheon held on September 5th in Artesia, New Mexico.
Since the inception of the Yates Scholarship there have been twenty-three recipients. Currently, Bailey Boyd, Madison Cogburn, and Dusstyn Reynolds are fourth-year students who are also among the recipients.
The scholarship is made possible by a $1.6 million gift from the PY Foundation to the Coalition for Osteopathic Excellence. The mission of the PY Foundation is to increase the number of doctors in the New Mexico and surrounding southwest region.
Current Burrell students interested in the Yates Scholarship should contact the Office of Financial Aid or visit the Burrell website for more information.
