Las Cruces, NM – The Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine is pleased to announce our 7th Annual Medical Student Research Day (MRSD), scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 at 3501 Arrowhead Dr., Las Cruces, NM. This event showcases the remarkable achievements and contributions of medical student research teams, fostering a culture of inquiry and innovation within the medical community.

EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Student Research Presentations: Medical students will present their research findings in one of two formats that promote the exchange of knowledge:
- Poster Sessions: This session will allow attendees to engage directly with students, learn about their research methodologies, and ask questions about their findings.
- Oral Presentation: Students will share details with the audience about their research projects, including motivation, methodology, outcomes, and applications. Keynote Speaker: Dr. Harald Stauss, MD, PhD, is a professor of pharmacology at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in the Department of Biomedical Sciences. He will be talking about the effects of vagus nerve stimulation on cardiovascular, metabolic, and chronic inflammatory diseases.
Networking Opportunities: The event offers networking opportunities for attendees to connect with students, faculty, and professionals in the medical and research sectors, fostering collaborations and knowledge exchange.
Who should attend: Students and their families, faculty, and staff are all invited to attend and celebrate the accomplishments of our student researchers over the past year.
