Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine Welcomes Tammy Fowler, Ed.D., as Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services

Las Cruces, NM – Following a national search and an inclusive interview process, the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine is proud to announce the appointment of Tammy Fowler, Ed.D., as the new Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services. Dr. Fowler will oversee the admissions, financial aid, and registrar teams, bringing a wealth of experience and leadership to these critical areas of student success.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Fowler to our leadership team. Her exceptional track record in higher education enrollment management and student affairs will enhance our ability to support our students from the moment they apply through their entire educational journey,” said John Hummer, President of Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Dr. Fowler joins Burrell College from Baptist Health Sciences University, where she served as the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs for the past six years. Prior to that, she held the position of Assistant Dean for Student Administration at NYIT’s College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University.

“I’m thrilled to be part of the Burrell College team and contribute to its mission of providing quality healthcare education. I am also excited to work collaboratively with campus leadership and the enrollment services team to develop effective strategies that will attract and retain top students and position Burrell College for continued growth. Together, I believe we can achieve great things,” said Dr. Fowler.

Dr. Fowler holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, a Master of Public Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, all from Arkansas State University.

Dr. Fowler will begin her role on October 28, 2024.
