ORLANDO, FL – Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine first-year students Michael Yingst and Salvatore Corallo were named FOMA Student Scholars at the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) Live 2025 conference in Orlando.

Both students, members of the Class of 2028, were selected for their academic achievements and promise in the field of osteopathic medicine. They attended the conference alongside their peers from Burrell College who also participated in the conference.
“It is an immense honor to be a recipient of the FOMA Student award alongside our class president Michael Yingst. This recognition means a lot for our class and our institution,” said Mr. Corallo. “I am proud to be a part of a great organization like FOMA that will help us develop essential advocacy skills for our future practice of osteopathic medicine. I would like to extend my thanks to Dean Newman and the Burrell faculty for their continual guidance and support.”
The recognition highlights the dedication of Burrell College students to their academic and professional growth, with both Yingst and Corallo continuing to build on their skills in preparation for their future careers in osteopathic medicine.
