Woody L. Hunt Scholarship

Purpose

The Woody and Gayle Hunt Family Foundation (WGHFF) awarded a grant gift to the Coalition for Osteopathic Excellence (COE) for the establishment of the Woody L. Hunt Scholarship at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. The Hunt Family Foundation will match one dollar for every dollar COE raises, allowing the total scholarship fund to double in size.

Established in 1987, the Woody and Gayle Hunt Family Foundation supports organizations and initiatives that will establish a globally competitive Borderplex region, the area encompassing El Paso County, Texas, Southern New Mexico, and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, México. The Foundation also strengthens organizations whose programs uplift the distinctive strengths and prospects of our binational, bicultural community. Since the Foundation’s establishment by Woody L. Hunt and his wife Gayle, and now led by their son, Josh Hunt, the Foundation has supported over 600 organizations with 2,671 grants and commitments totaling $111 million as of December 2019.
