Grant and Contract Support

The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs supports the submission of sponsored project proposals. All requests for extramural funding require institutional approval prior to submission of the grant.   Individuals applying for extramural funding in support of research, creative scholarly, or programmatic activities should follow procedures defined in RSP. 020.01 “Grant Submission Process” in order to avoid delays in their submission process.

Specific Steps in the submission process include:

• Submission of a “Notification of Intent to Appy for Extramural Funding” as early as possible. 
• ORSP will establish a MS Teams channel for documents and correspondence with the P.I.
• The P.I. shall prepare the proposal in accordance with the sponsor requirements.
• The P.I. shall submit a “Proposal Transmittal Form” along with copies of the proposal, budget, and other required documents at least 5 business days in advance of the proposal deadline.
• The proposal will be reviewed by
  • ORSP
  • Finance
  • Other Applicable Offices (e.g, Facilities, Library, Student Affairs, Financial Aid, etc.)
  • Executive Administration
• Submission of the proposal will only be allowed after Executive Administration is received.
