Burrell College Research Laboratories

Message from the BCOM BioScience Research Laboratory

Welcome to the Burrell College Research Laboratories located at the site of the Southwest Research and Production Complex in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Burrell College Office of Research & Sponsored Programs (ORSP) operates 5,400 sq.ft. of dedicated research space encompassing the BioScience Research Lab (BSRL), Human Physiology Lab (HPL) and associated office space. Burrell College researchers are actively engaged in a wide range of research in the areas of cancer biology, infectious disease, inflammation and inflammatory disease, neurological responses to stress, osteopathic manipulative medicine, and exercise physiology, among others. The BSRL is a Biosafety Level-2 (BSL-2) facility equipped to conduct research involving eukaryotic cell culture, microbiology and immunology, protein, cell and molecular biology, and biochemical analysis. The HPL is equipped to conduct human subjects research in the areas of osteopathic manipulative medicine and human and exercise physiology. ORSP also provides investigators with access to institutionally licensed statistical and image analysis software, as well as meeting, conference and presentation space.
