Give Back: BCOM Library Accepting Winter Clothing and Blanket Donations

Throughout the year, the Gospel Rescue Mission Clothing Store on South Solano, receives donations of clothing and other items such as blankets, for the homeless and those who, for whatever reason, can’t afford to buy clothing for themselves and their children/families.  All items provided by the Clothing Store to people in need (many of whom are children) are free and no questions are ever asked about income, status, and/or religious affiliation, etc.  So far this year, the Clothing Store has provided clothing and other items to 4,385 people, or 80,130 items, to individuals in our local community.

Each year, as temperatures begin to drop, the Clothing Store finds that they are in dire need of blankets and especially men’s jackets, and this year is no exception!  Please know that they accept both used and new items.  So, if you have any blankets that are just taking up space in your closet, or winter clothing items that you are willing to part with—or feel inclined to pick up a new item or two for others, please feel free to bring them to the BCOM Library and I will personally deliver them to the Clothing Store.

Thank you so much for considering,
