Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine alumni, Dr. Cynthia Annette Reyes went from patient to physician. Dr. Reyes was diagnosed with end-stage renal disease as a teenager, requiring her to need a kidney transplant to live. She took her hardships and channeled the experience to become a physician so that she could help others.
