Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine welcomed students for a tour of the New Mexico campus. Students from the Las Cruces Chambers of Commerce Junior Leadership, the Deming High School Emergency Medicine Club, and New Mexico State University arrived throughout the day for a tour of facilities.
April Lujan, associate director of student engagement and outreach, led three separate tours to over 100 potential students. The tour consisted of hands-on demonstrations, student presentations, and overviews of the standardized patient and simulation labs.
“Here at Burrell, we believe in inspiring the next generation of healthcare practitioners,” said April Lujan. “Our hands-on tours allow students to envision their future in medicine and understand the vital role they will play in our communities,” she added.
Burrell College is committed to making an impact in the healthcare community and will work towards inspiring future generations of healthcare practitioners.
