Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine Appoints Dr. Darcie Robran-Marquez to its Board of Trustees

The Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine appointed Darcie Robran-Marquez, M.D., M.B.A., to its Board of Trustees. Dr. Robran-Marquez currently serves as plan president and chief medical officer for Molina Healthcare of New Mexico.

Dr. Robran-Marquez brings more than two decades of experience in clinical medicine and health system leadership, with a strong focus on expanding access to care and improving health outcomes across underserved populations in New Mexico.

“Dr. Robran-Marquez is a highly respected leader in healthcare, and we are honored to welcome her to our board,” said John Hummer, president of Burrell College. “Her expertise in population health, managed care, and health equity will be an incredible asset as we continue advancing our mission to train compassionate physicians who serve communities in need.”

Prior to her current role at Molina Healthcare, Robran-Marquez held key executive positions at Presbyterian Healthcare Services and served as a clinician caring for New Mexico’s diverse patient population. She rejoined Molina in 2023 to lead clinical and operational strategy for the state’s Medicaid and Medicare programs.

“I am honored to join the Board of Trustees at Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine,” said Robran-Marquez. “Burrell’s mission to improve health outcomes through education, service, and community partnerships aligns closely with my professional values. I look forward to supporting the college’s continued growth and impact in the region.”

Board Chair Dr. Denise Gonzales also welcomed the appointment, citing Robran-Marquez’s experience as a valuable addition to the board’s leadership.


“Dr. Robran-Marquez brings a rare combination of clinical expertise, strategic thinking, and deep community engagement,” said Gonzales. “Her perspective will enhance our efforts to guide Burrell’s continued growth and service to the region.”
