Heart of Medicine Scholarship

Purpose

The Heart of Medicine Scholarship was established to award exemplary medical students financial aid at the discretion of the College’s Scholarship Committee, which includes Clinical Faculty, Non-Clinical Faculty, and Staff. The Heart Of Medicine was established to award qualified applicants that demonstrate financial need and encourages the TOUCH Program for osteopathic medical students to work toward improving the health of their local community by incorporating osteopathic tenets, awareness and principles in their activities.

Eligibility Criteria

Demonstrated financial need (as confirmed by the College’s Office of Financial Aid).

Have been a Silver or Gold Touch recipient as confirmed in the Track it Forward database, and/or,

Received at least five top ten percent letters in pre-clinical courses and/ or,

Two honors grades in clinical rotations

Additional criteria to be considered at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.
